One I'm going to keep!

I thought I'd show you a doll I've just finished, and she's had the honour of going 

to live in my own dolls house. I've called her the Duchess.

The lovely lady is a doll made from a Gina bellous doll kit I bought some time ago but 

I've only just got around to dressing her, and she turned out so well I decided to keep her for myself!

Here she is in the Japanese room standing next to her embroidery

I picked up the embroidery in a pile of fabrics at an antique fair and it fitted perfectly

on an embroidery/tapestry stand I had bought from McQueenie Miniatures.

I've just finished this colourful gentleman!

Made from a Marcia Backstrom Doll kit this wonderful clown

would look great in a circus scene.

I've been playing with 1/24th scale this week and 

made a cook, housekeeper, ladies maid and of course the lady of the house.

This picture is of the lady giving her orders for the day.

Dressed in a red silk  velvet coat trimmed 

with faux fur with silver glittery pieces in it.

Red gloves, shoes and Deco style hat trimmed wth a red

poinsettia.

1912 ladies

I can just imagine these two elegant ladies

on a lovely summer evening attending a dinner party at Downton Abbey.

Their dresses are made from pure cream silk

with a silk embroidered panel at the front and back

and with a lace train

Victorian Walking Dress

 Black lawn background with miniature flowers.

Pleated lavender  and green braid trim, matching hat, and carrying a velvet purse.

Edwardian Evening Gown made of midnight blue silk 

decorated with pale blue flower shaped diamontes.

Silk Afternoon Dress

This lady is dressed for afternoon tea in a cream silk embroidered gown, the underskirt

is made from ruched silk ribbon, the rest of the gown is trimmed with cream lace and yellow silk ribbons and she has a yellow silk train.

Well I've actually got back to making over the last week. and I've decided to make some older ladies

There's a fairy at the bottom of my garden!

I thought you might like to see the fairy I found amongst the roses

in my garden!

I've just finished making her for a customer and she'll be flying away to Australia

Happy Rogues!

I don't often make men but these 3 rogues caught my imagination.

I can imagaine them standing on a street corner  causing a nuisance.

The two older men are made from Marcia Backstrom Doll Kits painted by myself.

The younger boy is from a head painted by Marcia and completed by myself.

They are all dressed in 'vagrant' style and come complete with the beer barrells they are

sitting on, dog, wine bottles and beer cans.
